Parsec Real
The voices schools were missing.
Aligned designed and built Parsec Real from a mission into a product K-12 administrators actually rely on — driving a 206% lift in meaningful engagement and amplifying voices that are too often underrepresented in school decision-making.
Parsec Real was built to close a fundamental gap in K-12 education: the people most affected by school decisions — students, families, and frontline staff — rarely have their full voice reflected in how those decisions get made. This is especially true in low-income and multilingual communities, where language barriers and rigid survey formats limit participation.

Vision, Translated to Product
How Aligned turned “street data” from a mission into a shippable thing.
By enabling students to speak in video, parents to respond in their native language, and administrators to instantly understand themes across hundreds of responses, Parsec Real turns qualitative feedback into something schools can actually use. The result isn’t just more engagement — it’s more representative input shaping real decisions inside schools.
A mission becomes real software through a hundred judgment calls most founders don’t have the bandwidth or the pattern recognition to make alone. Aligned led the discovery work, shaped the product strategy, and designed the core experience — a “real” isn’t a survey, so nothing about the capture flow should feel like one.
Multi-modal submission (text, audio, video) was a deliberate product decision to lower the barrier to authentic voice. A student who may not feel comfortable writing can record a video. A parent who primarily speaks Spanish can respond naturally. Every design choice laddered back to a single question: will someone actually say the real thing here?

AI That Does the Reading For You
Administrators don’t want to watch 148 video submissions one by one.
Aligned built an AI analysis pipeline that reads every submission and returns automatic theming, sentiment analysis, most-opinionated highlights, outliers, and recommended next steps.
For administrators, this transforms qualitative data from something overwhelming into something actionable. Instead of skimming dozens — or hundreds — of responses, they see a synthesized view in seconds: dominant themes, favorability, and clear areas to act.
This is what makes large-scale qualitative feedback usable. Without it, voice data becomes noise. With it, administrators can consistently incorporate student, staff, and family perspectives into decisions.

Engagement That Proved Product-Market Fit
In the early days, only 12.2% of administrators were logging in monthly to review submissions, and 10.29% were engaging with the broader platform. Within two quarters, monthly submission review climbed to 28.3% — a 134% increase — and overall engagement rose to 31.52%, a 206% increase.
This increase wasn’t just product usage — it represented a meaningful shift in behavior. More administrators were consistently reviewing feedback, which meant more student, staff, and family voices were actually being seen, understood, and incorporated into school decisions.
September MAU reached 37.81% coming out of summer break, reinforcing that this shift was structural, not seasonal.
“The people closest to a school decision should have the loudest voice in shaping it. Aligned turned that conviction into a product administrators actually use — and engagement more than tripled in two quarters. That’s the sound of more students, families, and educators finally being heard.”
Meeting Every Voice Where It Is
A feedback tool is only as powerful as the voices it can actually capture.
School communities are not monolingual — and when tools only support one language or one format, entire groups are effectively excluded from participation.
Aligned built a full translation system across both submission and analysis, starting with Spanish and English. A Spanish-speaking parent can now record a video in their own language while an administrator receives the synthesized insights in English.
This closes a critical gap: feedback is no longer limited to those comfortable responding in English or in written form. Instead, participation becomes accessible, and the resulting input becomes more representative of the full community.

Product Thinking, Built In From Day One
From the first week, Aligned worked in continuous discovery mode, pairing user interviews and quantitative signals with roadmap decisions, and coaching Parsec stakeholders through empowered product management principles.
The features that moved the metrics — the AI pipeline, the translation layer, the multi-modal capture — were not assumptions. They came directly from understanding what administrators could not do before and building the systems that made it possible.
When an Aligned engagement ends, the product continues to evolve with that same discipline: grounded in real user needs, measured by real behavior change, and focused on outcomes — not outputs.
